What kind of leader are you? Do you find yourself putting tasks before people? A true leader will help others to excel, always being an influence to those around them. Leadership is a “people” business. As Jesus spent time healing, teaching, touching and mentoring those around him-we too should follow His example. It’s all about people-NEVER wasted time!
In this dynamic series Pastor Roberta teaches the effective way to lead correctly. We need each other. There is no “I” in TEAM. A good leader learns to let go and remain humble. True Godly leaders inspire and require us to go places we have never been. Many are under leaders we would call the “Top Dog Leader”. They rule with fear and intimidation, having no love, no life and no growth. As a good leader we must be lead together with our heart and head. Never forgetting what it was like being a follower, and following Jesus’ example through humility and love being a servant of all!
It’s important to learn to be patient with everyone. A good leader will correct someone and step on their shoes and not mess up the shine. L in leadership is for “listening”. The down fall of many leaders is they stop listening. We are so much smarter together than when we are alone! Look for the best, not the worst. We have been created and wired for feedback.
We all have issues and abusers will abuse if they are not healed. Through our mistakes we grow and learn valuable lessons. The key is to keep all communication lines open, and take time to listen to those around you. It’s time to “BUILD people before we BUILD buildings! Do not fear the future. Be ready for the change! Put it to practice, build teams, listen, encourage and become servants of the Lord!
